Graduated from Texas A&M University 1965 with a BBA in Finance and a commission into the Army Reserve as second lieutenant (2LT) in the Signal Corps.

Obtained my NASD (National Association of Security Dealers) license and sold mutual funds.

Entered Active duty in 1966 for two years including 1 year in Vietnam.  Served some active duty in every rank I held thru Colonel, the last serving on a Federal Commission for the Secretary of Army.  My civilian life included entrepreneurial business, politics, lobbying Congress, and 13 years serving as Chairman of the Manassas City Electoral Board.

Married Kaye Lynn Balthaser in February 1970.  Kaye & I received the Lord’s grace and salvation in 1972; we had 5 beautiful children and all gave their life to the Lord.  Before Kaye’s passing in November of 2020, we had 10 grandchildren. I presently (August 2023) have 13 grandchildren.
